Wellness at home
What aspects of your life impact your health and wellbeing?
Well, let’s start with the obvious – your diet, the amount of exercise you do, your relationships with other people, your mental and emotional states. We can sum these up into three main areas - your physical wellness, your emotional/mental wellness and your social wellness.
A balancing act?
Your overall wellness can be a balancing act between these three areas. You might be very aware of your diet and nutritional intake, and undertake a regular exercise routine… but… if you work long hours, don’t manage your stress levels or your close relationships, you will be out of balance and your health and wellbeing will suffer.
The elephant in the room.
Who is responsible for looking after your health and wellbeing? You are.
You must take responsibility for your own wellness journey. Many can help you on the way but ultimately it comes down to each individual. You are the most important person in your life. How you look after yourself will then have an effect on your relationships with others whether they are your families, your friends, your work colleagues or the greater community.
Taking the first step can sometimes be the hardest one…
